About the Instructor
Alice Sachs Zimet began to collect photography in 1985. Her collection
of roughly 200 images reflects both personal taste and passionate
enthusiasm.
Alice is a member of the Collections Committee of the
Harvard Art Museums, one of two non-photographer board members of
the Magnum Foundation and is a member of the International Center
of Photography’s (ICP) Exhibitions Committee.
American PHOTO Magazine honored Alice as "one of the 100 most
important people in photography" in 1998.
Alice began her career in the museum world (Metropolitan Museum
of Art, ICP) and soon moved to the private sector where she ran
the Worldwide Cultural Affairs programs at The Chase Manhattan Bank.
